Gyomaendrőd is surrounded by countless backwaters (oxbow lakes, billabongs) as the heritage of the 19th century river regulations.
The memorial was set up to remember the victims of the gendarme fusillade in Endrőd in 1935. It’s the artwork of István Kiss.
Gyomaendrőd lies on the left (south) bank of the Hármas- (Triple-) Körös River. This stretch of the river is the most beautiful waterside landscape of the region.
